Satellite Data Usage, Attribution & Licensing
1. Overview
TwinFarms uses Earth observation satellite data to provide agricultural insights, visualizations, and derived indices such as NDVI and related analytics. All satellite data used in the platform is sourced from open, publicly available Earth observation programs operated by international space agencies. TwinFarms is an independent commercial platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any space agency.
2. Copernicus Sentinel Data (ESA and European Union)
TwinFarms uses satellite imagery and derived products from the Copernicus Programme, including data from Sentinel missions operated by the European Space Agency.
Copernicus Sentinel data is provided under a free, full, and open data policy. The data may be used, modified, and redistributed, including for commercial purposes, provided proper attribution is given.

Copernicus is the European Union’s Earth observation programme. Sentinel missions are operated by the European Space Agency.
3. NASA Earth Observation Data
TwinFarms also uses Earth observation data provided by NASA, including datasets such as Landsat and other NASA supported missions.
NASA Earth observation data is in the public domain. No permission is required for use, modification, or redistribution. Attribution is requested as a best practice.

4. Derived Products and Analytics
All indices, analytics, visualizations, and insights provided by TwinFarms including vegetation indices, alerts, maps, and recommendations are derived products created by TwinFarms. They do not represent official ESA, Copernicus, or NASA products and should not be interpreted as official scientific or governmental advisories.
5. Logos, Badges, and Trademarks
ESA, Copernicus, Sentinel, and NASA names are used strictly for data attribution purposes. No use of official NASA logos is made in the product user interface. Any references to Copernicus or Sentinel do not imply endorsement.
All trademarks and registered marks remain the property of their respective owners.
6. No Endorsement Disclaimer
TwinFarms is not officially endorsed, certified, sponsored, or approved by the European Space Agency, the Copernicus Programme, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, or any governmental or intergovernmental organization. All satellite data usage complies with applicable open data policies and attribution requirements.
