Twin Farm’s Off-Application Policy

By creating an account on the Twin Farms Application, you agree to abide by our terms and policies, including our Terms of Service [https://www.twinfarms.market/terms-of-use], which we reserve the right to enforce at our sole discretion. In the event of violation, we may suspend or permanently deactivate your account.

 

In order to protect our community and business, the following is prohibited:

Taking Customers and Farmers off of the Twin Farms Application for new, partial, or future sales or purchases

  • Contacting potential Customers as purchasers or Farmers as sellers prior to completing a sale through the Twin Farms Application to move the sale off of the Application (for example: offering discounts to complete sales off of Twin Farms)

  • Asking Customers or Farmers to fill out forms, or call, email, or otherwise contact you via a non-Twins Farm Application communications service prior to completing a sale

  • Canceling existing full or partial sales and having Customers repay off of the Twin Farms Application

  • Asking or encouraging Customers to buy and Farmers to sell outside of the Twin Farms Application for repeat or future purchases

  • Including links or embedding buttons (ex: footers, headers) that take people off of the Twin Farms Application to another website in any messages 

Asking each other for or using contact or identity information in ways unrelated to the purchase of produce, food products, and agricultural commodities, or that compromise the quality of such goods

  • Asking each other for contact information prior to completing a sale; all Customer and Farmer communications must be via the Twin Farms Application

  • Soliciting each other for their email, mailing address, or other communications channels using any Twin Farms Application messaging system or email alias after a sale

  • Asking each other for contact information after a sale in order to run credit checks 

  • Asking each other to send photos of their government ID except where required for legal or compliance reasons as outlined below

  • Asking for or using each other’s contact information to settle additional payments outside of the Twin Farms Application; all payments related to the sale and purchase of produce, food products, and agricultural commodities must go through the Twin Farms Application

  • Using contact information provided by Twin Farms for other purposes that violate our Terms of Service

  • Selling, sharing, or using each other’s contact information for marketing communications or signing each other up for contact lists

 

Taking people off of the Twin Farms platform for feedback and reviews

 

You may not ask each other to review a sale on the Twin Farms Application on a non-Twin Farms website or application or fill out a survey regarding an Twin Farms Application sale on a non-Twin Farms website or application (such as a form off of Twin Farms Application). These actions take valuable input about a each Farmer and Customer experience on the Twin Farms Application away from the Twin Farms community. We want Customers and Farmers to share their feedback directly on Twin Farms so that other Customers and Farmers may benefit from their insights.

 

Requiring Customers to use other websites or applications to physically access Farmer listings

 

  • Asking Customers to create a separate account or register on another website besides TwinsFarm.market for purposes of gaining access listings of produce, food products, and agricultural commodities for sale

  • Asking Customers to install a third-party application to access such listings; all listings on Twin Farms Application should be accessible to a Customer without requiring they have another application or account
